Grief Circle: Rituals of Renewal

Given several local tragedies this year alone and so many ongoing national and global social and political changes, we’re all carrying some degree of grief on a regular basis.
We are not meant to grieve alone. This Grief Circle encourages us to face our grief and provides the support to hold each other’s pain as we grieve together in community. The agenda includes an embodiment practice, writing and sharing, and other activities designed to help us connect with each other, our surroundings, and our losses in a gentle way that cultivates the feelings of being held and cared for. We’ll end with an uplifting group activity. Throughout the session, the ocean guides our healing process and nurtures us as we face our difficult emotions together.

Welcome to our FREE in-person Climate Café events at Sustainabowl on Lincoln Blvd.! If you experience worry, anger, fear, sadness, powerlessness and hope about climate change, you are not alone! Data suggest that most of us feel alone in these emotions, yet the majority of people are concerned about climate change. Talking about these feelings in groups can help.
A Climate Café is an opportunity to connect in an informal, supportive, small group to express our emotions about climate change, without pressure or judgment. This is not an action-oriented gathering nor a therapy group, but a safe space to talk and feel in community, rather than in isolation.
